I grew up poor, but, I never have been attracted to women who didn’t want anything out of life or who were loud, obnoxious or were interested in showing everyone what they had. She didn’t have to be a straight A student, but, she had to have a good head on her shoulders and carry herself with class and dignity. Amen to this message... Furthermore, I'll say that women are the gatekeepers of who can enter the next level up in terms of class. From my experience, a person must be class adjacent inorder to move up into the next level of class. They must be the upper crust working class, with ideal family dynamics and mannerisms to be considered for serious long-term pairings. This was the case with a few buddies of mine who married into million-dollar familes, and the case when I was vetted by a billionaire heiress in college. The father gives the "once over" in terms of temperature check for approval, but the mother's approval came in the form of her saying she found me impressive, then told me I was the only person her daughter ever introduced them to, and she invited me join them. This particular young lady had watched me for three years before shooting her shot and setting up the nicest date experience I've ever had... She memorized my resume, hometown, parent's occupations, football captainship, strength records, entrance exam score [perfect on 3/4 of the ACT sections]. She pointed out that I got into Harvard, U Penn, and University of Chicago, was recruited by all the Service Academies and my dad was an Air Force veteran. She closed with the fact that I'd been vetted by the Chairman of the Chemistry Department as his new favorite Lab Research Assistant. She mentioned that I was the William that Professor Charlie spoke about at lunch the previous day [her dad and the Chemist Chairman were buddies from Harvard]. My point is to illustrate the truth of what it takes to actually practice hypergamy and move up in class into an established family.
