Banana in caldo de res??? Never heard of that. I’d add corn on the cob and cilantro. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Also you can remove the banana and rice and add chayote and corn. I make white rice on the side and then whoever wants some can add some. Thank you for your recipes and for sharing

My grandpa was from Colima Mexico and he used to put banana in his caldo de res. It is a thing in some regions of MX.

I know everyone makes it different depending where they are from. Never seen it with banana. 1st for me. For me I like the elote and chayote along with some nice tortillas rolled up to dip into the caldo.😊 But enjoy it your way. Looks good. ❤

For those who don’t no in El Salvador they put Bananas in there Caldo but its not the Banana we are used to its Plantation Banana with a more firmer texture and not that sweet it actually tastes more like a potato in El Salvador they call it Sopa De Res us Mexicans call it Caldo de Res or Cocido all in all both are good on a cold day.
