AFS and IFC Films invite you to join Patricia Arquette, Ellar Coltrane and writer/director Richard Linklater for a special cast and crew advance screening of the 12-years in the making film, BOYHOOD. Q&A with Arquette, Coltrane and Linklater after the film. Reception in the lobby to follow.
Filmed over 12 years with the same cast, BOYHOOD chronicles the lives of one Texas family. Mason (Ellar Coltrane) and his older sister, Samantha (Lorelei Linklater), learn to face the realities of growing up, while their divorced parents (Patricia Arquette and Ethan Hawke) cope with the ongoing challenges of parenting in an ever-evolving landscape. This visionary film that allows us to experience their lives as we witness the passing of each year. An IFC Films release, BOYHOOD will open theatrically in Austin on Friday, July 18th.
