Storyline:

Reviews:
"I'm sorry, but of all the Cartwright boys, I cannot stand Adam. I think he's very arrogant and stuck up. He sees himself as smarter than his father and brothers. That's probably why this episode just got on my nerves. I think I would have enjoyed this episode a lot more if Adam hadn't been the character chosen (though I suppose he was the best Cartwright for this episode). I kept hoping that Adam was wrong...

The fact that the Pony Express rider didn't make it back on time still wasn't good enough for cocky big brother. He decided to do it himself. After all, we know that Adam's the best at everything!!!

If you don't see Adam's personality the same as I do, you may enjoy this episode a lot more...

Adam's episodes are the best and the ones that I seem to always come back to watch.

Pernell Roberts ... great performance and he always looks so striking. They are all so good though. Made the show a huge success ... still is.

One of my favourite episodes.... Adam Cartwright is amazing, a gorgeous man. He was stunning in all these scenes. When he left the show it was never the same again. So staunch, I can never get enough of watching Pernel play Adam... Bonanza rocks... then, now and for always... Love you

I used to watch Bonanza with my Grandmother Rose. The first color TV in the neighborhood. She was born in 1900 long since passed. I loved it then, still do. A lot better than most of the crap on TV now.

Pernell Roberts was ALWAYS my favorite actor in the show "Bonanza." He was an excellent actor and singer. He was so handsome, suave, and intelligent. His character Adam was very mature, intelligent, and patient. He wasn't arrogant at all!!!! He also showed that he loved his father and brothers. He was very honest and law abiding. He cared very deeply for other people. After Pernell Roberts left the show, "Bonanza" went downhill rapidly for me. I was crushed when he left the show.

One of my favorite episodes with Adam.
Well, today to the day, he passed away 14 years ago. What a loss. May he rest in

I can’t ever imagine Adam Cartwright lounging about like that, in the opening scenes. I have been watching Bonanza since the very first episode and I still watch it today. Fabulous. I just love the concept of The Ponderosa and the Cartwrights.

Those 2 going back and forth at the beginning... oh man. I couldn't help but smile... funny, like watching old friends argue or brothers. Always enjoy Bonanza like no other show 📽🤠

I'm not sure why this brings tears to my eyes, a gent standing for what he knows is his gut, he followed his understanding of body language, and knowing how another of his friends walks, and present's himself. He follows his integrity no matter the resistance. 8/2021

I was only a little child when this TV show was on. But I grew up to love it. And I can see why so many liked Adam. He was a man of wisdom, courage, and patience. Is too bad that Bonanza lost Pernell Roberts. But the western was still a great success. I'm sure Adam was missed. The fact that Adam stuck with his convictions shows how strong he was. He made sure there was justice for his old friend.

I love how stubborn all of the Cartwrights can be.

I also love how Roy Coffee can be like a close family friend, even like an Uncle to the boys and Ben's BFF, but under the right circumstances he'll throw them in jail without a single thought or run them out of town.
