Born Again

In the early part of John’s Gospel, Jesus has a conversation with Nicodemus, a Jewish leader who questions Jesus’ authority. Jesus answers him, making it clear that being “born again” is necessary in order to see the kingdom of God. Alistair Begg reminds us that the new birth of which Jesus spoke is essential and supernatural—a miraculous and mysterious work of Almighty God that brings about a complete change of heart and gives the believer a new family, a new identity, and a new mentality.

Being Born Again is what the church needs to study and hear from the Holy Spirit to know and be known by our Lord Jesus! If I can add one thing to the sermon. Jesus is the Kingdom. We must be Born Again to be able to see and enter into Him! Everlasting life starts at your new birth! My position in Christ Jesus is in the heavenly realms. Ephesians 2:6

Praise the Lord for His amazing grace! My life was turned upside down (or as my friend corrected it “right side up” when I was saved 9 years ago. The transformation was immediate and remarkable. I was so joyful and hungry to know more about the Lord through His Word and sermons. The peace I experienced transcends understanding. Sharing of my new found “light” was my mission. When I feel forgotten and hopeless Lord let your water of life comfort me. Even though I fell on hard times these pass three years. I’m holding on and keeping faith even though it’s hard. Faith is our armor against the enemy. I keep faith even as I constantly struggle to provide for my children and I constantly struggle to buy groceries. My husband died years ago. At times I feel so alone especially as a single mom. Since suffering a heart attack two years ago and my on going battle with lupus I’m overwhelmed and discouraged. Both of my sons are autistic but because of you Lord they are thriving. I’m now homeschooling them so my hours to work are limited. I’m afraid Lord. Afraid of homelessness. Thankfully I have you Lord! I know you will continue to provide you have this far. I LOVE YOU HEAVENLY FATHER.

I have experienced this two years ago and the effect on my life has profound. All praise to God. I am not sinless in fact I’m even more wretched in my flesh but have turned from serious sins and have a burning love for God in my heart. If you have not experienced this or are uncertain I suggest this. Get on your knees before God and plead for the salvation of your soul by the works of Jesus alone. Amen.
