Let's have a look at this beautiful BMW K 100 RS.
Back in 1983, when the bike was released it was all new for BMW and their customers.
They switched form an aircooled, carburated two cylinder boxer to a watercooled inline four cylinder with fuel injection and 90 bhp.
It was a milestone in BMW's motorcycle history much like the R 80 GS.
BMW offered different versions of the bike, a naked version two touring versions and the sporty version, the RS. Later BMW offerd the bike even with ABS and an updated zylinderhead with four instead of two valves. The K 100 even got a smaller brother, the K75 which was produced until 1996.
The K-Series soon earned a reputation as reliable and long lasting, which is proofen by the high milage models you can find everywhere on the internet.
This early model is from 1984, however the rear was updated to the facelift version with passanger handels on the rear panel and not the seat itself.
Also the color changed to a bright metallic black.
Other than that the bike is completely original and ran over 117 thousend kilometers. But it still works like new - well apart from the clock. That died even before i got my hands on the bike.
