When a search party of men went on an expedition to find a legendary lost mine, they never found it. They did find something better and in a very remote location. The new mining find became Silver City and it became a treasure for many miners who struck it rich, but it was also the site where a veritable war developed underground that took a militia to stop it. Today, Silver City is one of the more scenic and beautiful ghost towns to visit!

I’ve been here when I lived in Nampo the road to get there is rough but enjoyable once I got there.

Great place to visit. Once a year many of the homes that are curently occupied are opened up to the public for tours. We go there every couple of years. Be ready to spend the day there is alot to see. Bring good shoes also. Lots of hikeing
