This phone was definitely worth the skip past iPhone 9. Definitely a worthy 10 year anniversary phone. Can’t wait for what Apple does for the iPhone 20 (whatever it will be called at that point).

No way it’s already been about 5 years since this came out. It’s so iconic, I remember how badly I wanted one and how hype the release of this phone was. Funny how this came to my recommended after the iPhone 14 came out 😂

Wow. I remember impatiently waiting a month after the iPhone 8 came out so I could try the display model in the store. This became my instant dream phone. Two years later, I got my first iPhone (a 2016 SE), and just a week ago, I got a XR. It lives up to the expectations I had back then and then some. Apple outdid themselves here.
