This is the Correct Swedish/Stockholm Tax because he forgot like 4taxes and high income tax braket above 60k/year.
Out of 1 038 566 SEK you get to keep 674 340 SEK=35% tax.
-Munipical tax 183 756.
-Regional tax 126 528.
-State tax 84 696.
-Public service tax 1 200.
-Church tax 8 220.
-Tax reduction program -38 472

*State tax hits you hard with 52% or more on the money you make above 52 000SEK a month or 60 000USD/per year

Sweden does however have 0% inheritance tax, 0% estate tax, 0% wealth tax and like a 1% capital gains tax for stock investments alongside lower corporation taxes than the US (which also have much higher taxes of those mentioned).

Because of this, Sweden paradoxically have among the most millionaires and billionaires per capita in the world due to it low key is a tax haven for non-salary income and leads to a higher wealth inequality than South Africa and Brazil. 😅

This isn’t correct. We also have a payroll tax of 31, 42%

Church tax is optional. It goes towards the upkeep of churches and church services

Sweden is a really safe spawnpoint, because of the high taxes. The US is more of a gamble.

Disclaimer: Church tax only applies when you are a member of the Swedish Church, otherwise known as “Svenska Kyrkan”.

bro 27% municiapal tax is crazy. and only 8% to state. i’d love to see this in italy, where everything is centralized to state level, which causes more corruption and bureocracy

For an average worker the tax is ~60% in Sweden. That is if you include VAT, payroll tax and income tax. It becomes even higher if you make enough money to pay state tax.

Then we have to pay 20 dollars to see a doctor, and if we need an operation or other medical help, it costs almost no money.

When making above ~60k ish dollars you also have to pay state tax which is above 50% on anything earned above the state tax limit. So this video isn’t entirely true.

Such high (for the average Swede) salary is targeted for "high income tax" (the State tax) and also worth mention is the "hidden tax" called Employer's fee, it's around $31, 000 for a $100, 000 salary. In this example the Employer pays in total around $131, 000 for your gross $100, 000 salary! It doesn't "end" here, with your taxed income, you also will be taxed heavily for everything you buy.
