Wicked little cars. I had one as my first car. I fitted a Datsun Stanza 1.5 engine into it. Goes straight in onto the 1000 gearbox. Wish I had it now, but that was in 1986.

Brings back memories, bought one new “M” reg 1973 as 19 year old to get me to work, same colour. Cost £27 a month for 4 years. Kept it for 9 years, rust was an issue but had no problems with the engine. There was a knack to start a warm engine, had to have my foot to the floor, think the petrol might have evaporated in the carb

I was gonna buy one. Instead I purchased a granada mk2. Now that i think of it, a Datsun 100A seems like a relativly bad car for the road and such. and it doesnt have power steering. But im sure its's a lot of fun.
