I have many questions: 1) I'm assuming once you cut the El wire, it can't be charged again right? 2) How does it stay lit when you do cut it and for how long does it stay lit? 3) I also assume that as long as you can hook the El wire to the charger, it can be reused again and again and that it stops glowing when you shut off the charger? I know some of these questions my sound stupid but I have never worked with El wire before and want to know everything I can before getting some.

I plug my elwire to my 12v inverter, and the 12v inverter to a 220v-to-12v(0.8A) to the outlet.
why does my elwire not light up as strong as yours? please answer.
do I need higher amparege from my 220v-to12v inverter or what?

just a short question, any help appreciated:

I'm thinking about using EL-Wire as the standard light source for a room. Using 110-240V inverters and enough Wire, do you think i could "bind" this to a normal light switch to have it go on/off?

@xXjoubalXx Yes, you can!
El wire is akin to a capacitor, is to wires wound close together, but insulated from each other.
Just it's surrounded by an EL compound...
You then power this cap with relatively high voltage AC, but low amps, and as long as you keep your two wires from shorting, you're good!
If they short, you've got fried wire!

in the description it says 3 meters. you said 6 foot. 1M= ~3foot. but but according to the description, and the video, 3M does not equal to 6feet.
