The other guitar only version of this song that I found had some parts missing, so here's a complete version with rhythm and lead guitar included, enjoy.
This is when you realize that Cliff's bass gaves so much much power to the song

James's Tempo and tone is perfect.

We will miss you dearly...

This is why Mustaine himself called James as one of the 3 greatest rhythm guitarists in Rock and Heavy Metal history.

3:35-4:50 is one of the most amazing compositions in metal/music PERIOD.

Hetfield's iconic solo at 4:12 is beautiful and melodic. It really sets the stage for Kirk's iconic blistering solo which actually has a mistake in it that sounded so good that it actually made it onto the album. I'm sure most folks know that already, I just always thought that was cool 🤘🏻

And this is what a master piece sounds like.

James hetfield is the master of rhythms

I had no clue how musically progressive this song was before I heard it isolated. That chorus goes through four different time signatures (7/8, 5/4, 3/4, and 4/4) and much of the song is in harmonic minor. It's a really fascinating song. If only Cliff Burton hadn't died, we might've gotten many more songs like this.

Kirk is very underrated, do not think all the criticism of his playing is justified! He has created some very cool solos over the years!

Haha, Old James and Kirk had such baby faces
Antonypancake
Poor James broke his arm in a skateboard accident

I can still hear every drum beat every bass note and James voice in this track. this song/album has been in my soul from the moment I opened up my cassette tape. Metallica my brothers my family. R.I.P Cliff 🤘😎🤘

i like the clean sound at 3:34 and the solo at 5:43.

If you listen carefully, this is ALL James playing the rhythm....Kirk only plays rhythm live

I wonder how many times I've heard this song since March 3, 1986 when I stood in line at Best Buy to purchase at age 14. I would think over 50, 000 times at least. Got first guitar in 1989 and can play this song forward, backwards, up, & down. ALL guitar parts note for note. It never gets old or dull. Genius level songwriting. The pinnacle of metal. Second to none. Stronger than all.

I've always loved how the ascending fading guitar melody over the clean arpeggios at 3:43 ends in a counterpoint of two notes. One note transcends to D# while the lower descends to F# before both leading to their respective E naturals. Every cover I've watched of this section plays the D# but no one ever plays the lower F# which I personally think is more powerful, and is also louder in the studio recording.

I love the clothes of those times, just jeans, black t shirt's, leather and metal! I'm still on this style
