Join us on this tiny adventure as we explore the ancient Mayan ruins at Ek Balam with Sammy and Sawyer.
We had to change plans last week when I got food poisoning and instead of visiting Ek Balam, decided to stick closer to home and visited Valla Zoo instead. You can check that video out here -
We were very excited to visit Ek Balam because based on our research, you are allowed to actually climb the ruins. Compared to Chichen Itza, this was a big deciding factor for us because we wanted to be sure the kids would have fun and just seeing the ruins may not have been enough for them.
It was amazing!
It was also very hot. Traveling with kids can be hard, we weren't 100% sure if they would be able to climb up the Acropolis or not. That is highest structure at Ek Balam. It was a great challenge and the kiddos did great.
