Every subsequent video needs the wordplay lol! Always appreciate the your blunt honesty about the state of the record game. I have been doing the record fair/show circuit for the past year, and, while the social element and quick cash are pluses, the buy-in takes a big cut and it's a whole day's work. It's seeming more attractive to just keep the higher-end inventory on Discogs and pass on the rest. Wise words at the end about wholesale, duly noted!

Thank you Lance! Really insightful advice. What advice would you give an aspiring store owner in acquiring collections, and maintaining a steady stream of inventory?

A much better option would be to rent a table at the near by record shows. Organize your records, set up a neat table and price them a little below retail and be willing to negotiate. You don't have to travel long distances and depending on where you live you should be able to sell several times a year between smaller pop up type shows at coffee shops and brew pubs and the larger shows that set up at hotel conference rooms or community centers several times a year. It's not difficult or especially time consuming other than the day of show. You will get much more for your records compared to selling to a store and much less hassle than selling on line.
