The best pool water test strips.

Are swimming pool test strips just as good, or better, than a quality Reagent test kit? We're going to find out. I'm testing the chlorine, pH, and CYA with my Taylor K-2006 test kit. I then tested the same water using the same parameters with test strips that you can find at your local pool store.

Which one wins? Will it be the Taylor K-2006 kit, or the pool water test strips?

I use the test strips for weekly/ daily checks

Mostly for chlorine level.

About every 3-4 weeks I use the Taylor test kit to keep everything thing on track.

You definitely learn over time what things change from rain, fill water, and time.

I also like the Aquachek Yellow 4 way test strips, compared them to the Taylor 2005 several times and they hold up very well.

Looks like your TA according to the strips was 40 kind of scary. The bummer part about strips is they do not give you acid demand.
