Ken wins, My boy is one of the most complex characters and better protagonist I have seen in entire fiction.

Kaneki for me. He started out by never knowing his father, lost his mother and suffered beating from her too. Kaneki suffered becoming half ghoul, half human. Was beaten to near death by Arima and lost his memories. Lost all of his friends at anteiku except a few ones. And after so much suffering, he finally got his happy ending with Touka-Chan and had kids and is now happy. Kaneki is the best written character in fiction.
