Pretty decent list that is applicable under all circumstances. A couple more would be:

Plan before you start writing code.

Consider if the code could be useful elsewhere in the application and if so, break it out.

Write code that is easily extensible.

Properly document all functions and any parts that are somewhat even a little complex out of necessity. This isn't for other devs necessarily. Imagine coming back to it a month later. You'll thank yourself.

(I supposed a lot of this could be under the umbrella of easily understandable code)
