Sade is difficult to cover because the songs are built around Sade’s voice, which is unique - it’s very breathy, she uses no vibrato and the phrasing is very ‘Sade’. So as a singer, it’s problematic because you either have to sing it in Sade’s style with no originality yourself, or sing it as yourself but it will always sound a bit odd.
