That was one of the funnest games to watch all year! Amazing chemistry going on with the Canes right now. They are looking dangerous. Over the last month they’ve been showing up against the leagues best. Jackson Blake is emerging and really getting creative with the goal scoring and having fun. He’s been long overdue for this reward of a multi goal game.

Caps got outplayed, resorting to playing dirty throwing cross checks into people's backs, cause fights, and then everyone has the audacity to be mad at Chatfield for the throw to the ice. The Canes are an extremely disciplined team that rarely fight (which is why we had the fewest fight penalty minutes in the league) but even these guys' patience isn't infinite. Keep poking at folks like that and you're gonna get slammed and it won't be pretty. If the Caps try something at the rematch in a week they do it to their own detriment, because all it'll do is end up in penalty minutes for a Carolina powerplay or in suspensions. A smart coach will tell them to take a chill pill.

Caps are so inconsistent. Their winning record is great but how is their shot average lately? NOT GOOD. Also Chycrhun has been hotdog water this last week.

Absolute beatdown, GG Canes. Not a fan of McMichael getting slammed down to the ice without his helmet on, could've been seriously injured. Caps losing 4 out of 5 down the stretch was not on my bingo card. At least the Ovi tax was paid.
