After 9 years on the road, we are sharing our secret to staying in an RV so long. We have stationary RV living spots that we go back to to feel at home. We don't own houses, but the properties are designed for RVs and allow us to come and go easily. Take a tour of our Florida lot, which we sometimes visit in the winter. Also, at the end of the video, join us to watch a Falcon 9 rocket launch because Tom is a space nerd.

Thank you for watching our videos!

My husband and I have done this exact thing for a decade. One rv lot in Indiana during summer and one in Texas for winter stays. We love this life. We recently sold our Texas land after my second cancer diagnosis in order to pay off my medical bills but it’s a great life. 👍🏻

We did a similar thing thanks to C19. We always thought our RV was our safety net but the pandemic made us realize it was also an albatross because there was minimal RV storage options around our home in Denver. We bought a lot in Mission, TX in a park similar to yours (RV park turned residential) that has RV sites as well as mobile home sites and several stick and brick homes. We have a clubhouse, many activities, a pool and hot tub, billiards, shuffleboard, workout room and 7 other parks within a short golf cart ride that welcome us for any of their activities. Best part is our HOA dues are $350 a year. We love it here and spend 5-6 months here ever fall and winter.

Great video! We too purchased 2 RV sites side by side in a slice of Heaven in a place called Star Valley in Wyoming. We have steadily developed them over the last 15+ years from a a patch of dirt to a peaceful meditative sanctuary. It has been hard work but rewarding. It’s nice to have a “home base” of our own to come back to in between all the travels. Been full timing for well over 22 years and our happy place there gives a nice break in the routine from early May to mid October. Then back on the road! Keep up with the great videos!

We bought an acre in florida outside a small town 10 minutes to the gulf. We put electric, sewer and water on the lot ..have a little barn that has a dryer and extra refrigerator in and there is a washer in the camper as well . We put our 40 ft fifth wheel on it ..we winter there and go back to our home in the spring before it gets deadly hot ... it cost a little bit to do this but we did a little at a time ...

So glad that YT suggested your channel this am! Six generations of my family have lived along the FL east coast since the early 1950’s, but I was the first born here. My father was a rocket engineer and we moved up from Palm Beach to the Space Coast in the early 60’s and two more generations were born here. The “anti FL hate” used to upset me, but with over 300, 000 moving here annually - I encourage it! As you’ve already discovered, the secret to comfortably living in this hot muggy state is to never live more than a couple miles from the ocean (the Atlantic, not the Gulf). The constant sea breeze keeps the air always moving and the bugs away. If you haven’t already, I highly recommend bringing your RV up to Jetty Park Campground at Port Canaveral. Space X launches at least once a week and you’ll be able to see lift off! Also, front row viewing of cruise ship traffic at the world’s 2nd busiest cruise port. I look forward to watching more of your videos.

Congratulations on owning land in our favorite states! Great decision at a young age. I think I would also get tired of moving around all the time. I think your idea is perfect!

That area is a slice of Heaven...built up enough for a good range of services and amenities yet still has that old-time rural Florida vibe. I recall seeing one of the last shuttle launches from a parking lot in Boca Raton. Amazing as it was a very clear, bright day, and the plume was so large it could easily be seen with the naked eye 140 miles away. Congratulations on having such versatile properties that let you have a home base yet give you the flexibility to travel.

Hello from Phoenix, Arizona. I just came across your channel and I’m only a few minutes in the video. I gotta say though there’s something soothing about watching these RV channels I don’t know what it is. I watch Bob Wells and some others, but I am such a homebody I like having my own space in my own home, but I want to be out in nature and seeing different places. I think you guys are talking about here is probably the best of both worlds having your own land your own place you can go to and have a homebase but being able to just drive away in itand you got a place in the north and in the south so you can beat the weather no matter what season I’m looking forward to watching your other videos. Thank you.

We're in North Palm Beach if you ever want a warm homemade Italian meal, normal toilets and bath tubs and the beach. Would love to give you a break as it's not always so dull anywhere on the road always. Take a break here.

Love your video! We are in the process of doing something similar. Bought a couple of acres in Texas for $40k (owner financing). We are rehabbing the mobile home that came with the property. We stay in our RV while rehabbing the mobile home. A few more weekends there and it will be habitable. That place will be our base camp during cold months. We want to do the same thing but in a Northern state for the summer months. Congratulations on your life style! Love your place. Very cool!

Sounds like a great alternative to being constantly on the move. I knew going in that I needed a home base so we part time it.

You guys are down the street from me, I live in a condo on the beach, I see you two walking the beach when I'm fishing. Also we go to the restaurants in your campground. I will keep the location private. Have a great day.

Really cool thanks for being transparent about the burnout and the rocket launch was a really nice bonus.
