Learn about the continuation of Kenner Toys' ultimate toy line of illusion. From the fantastic theme song to the first wave of toys. That includes everyone from Outlaw to Manta, from Hurricane to the Racing Series and Split Seconds wave 4.

We also summarize the earlier video (1985, part of 1986) as part of this segment, covered here:

Kenner was eventually bought by Tonka, who in turn were bought up by Hasbro, and thus all rights to MASK now belong to Hasbro.

All I remember from my childhood is that I loved playing with MASK and meeting friends who had other MASK toys and we had a blast to play with the toys of each other. Even the vehicles you look down on were so much fun to play with. And still today I watch a MASK cartoon on YT every now and then.

I'm glad had my childhood in 80's, so many toys line stuff, Mask, Centurion, Silver Hawk, Transfoemers He-Man and other fantastic toys line, still remember one of my elementary school friend showing off his entire Mask collection which is very amazing that time! 80's is remarkable journey for every kids in our childhood, the golden era of action figures which is never return back.. 🙏🙏👍👍

Transformers was my favorite toy line when I was a kid in the '80s, but when MASK launched when I was 8, I was hooked. I still have the best memory of Christmas morning 1985 when I got Rhino. Describing the line as having great "play value" is spot on! Between each mask carrying special powers and each toy having so many modes, MASK really was one of the greatest toy lines and doesn't get enough credit. Thanks for an absolute blast of a video, guys! Keep it up!

I loved that Semi Truck, and the flying ship. I had hours of fun playing with those. Man I miss that feeling you got as a kid, with these toys. Who knew that no adult themed manufactured thrill would ever compare to those days. You can never fill that hole again. Thats what makes it so damn sad and awesome at the same time.

Aww man, this was super nostalgic watching this. I was 5 when MASK came out, so looking back I realize how many toys from this line I actually had like Outlaw the oil tanker, the blue hit rod with the flames on the side and the purple 2-door with the female driver. Shout out to my parents for providing my brother and I with some dope Christmas' and overall memories altogether.

I have a mask vhs since I was a kid, it's so cool cause the vhs tape case is blue!

Psa: 1985 is considered the pinnacle of human existence. Literally the best time to be alive!

I was also a child of divorce, though I think my parents split in about 79 or so - by the time Mask came out I was 8 and absolutely ate it up. It was one of my absolute favorite lines alongside Transformers, Voltron, and He-Man, with GI Joe and 'normal' toy cars just behind them. I've been 'writing' a Mask live-action movie treatment for years now and just need the right person to pitch it to, LOL.

Having Mask was cool as a kid, it made spy toys cool and mixing them with GI Joe was great to create stories from with friends.

Oh my god I forgot about mask completely. This bringing it all back.
I was 5 when I watched this and my boy turns 5 tomorrow. How much he would love this.

80's got some of the best toys, movies, musics, and cartoons. I didn't have much money back then so I saved up my allowance and got the Iguana and Condor. Now I can afford most toys from childhood so I've been collecting all the MASK line up that I wanted as a child. Cost me a bit but it reminded me of how happy I was as a kid.

Fun fact: Takara had planned to import M.A.S.K. to Japan, where the series would be titled Instant Transformation Thunderhawk (瞬間変身サンダーホーク) and was scheduled to be released in 1987. Unfortunately, the franchise's launch into the Japanese market was cancelled due to G.I. Joe's poor domestic sales.

Got Outlaw for Xmas 1987 as a 7yo - cried because even though I dreamed about it I didn’t even ask for it because I thought it would be too expensive and most of my other Mask toys were from boot sales. Core memory.

I was born in 1990, well after the toys had gone off shelves here in Finland. My older brother had one MASK VHS tape left from the 80s and I must have watched it and those three episodes in it thousands of times. Transformers was the #1 toyline and franchise for me growing up, but as I've gotten older I've begun to cherish those memories of M.A.S.K. more fondly and even acquired some of the vehicles I always wanted but was never able to track down second hand. Transformers on the other hand have faded its charm to me due to the overabundance of products and media available for consumption. M.a.s.k. is that part of my childhood that hasn't had a real comeback and thus in my eyes has been spared of the same fate Transformers has suffered.

Mask was my absolute favorite! Had all the first two series toys loved the cartoon! This and voltron were what played with more than anything!
