there is vocals, there are melisms, there are show-offs, but there is no soul. Kate Bush sang very emotionally because she is a personality. In the song, it’s important to convey the meaning, and not just show that you are a cool vocalist.

okay. i've been watching like 100 covers of this song. and to be honest, almost 95% of them i don't like. Some covers are just too much to listen to. Some of them sound too forced. So, I'm always prepared to stop watching after 1 minute. But this one, my god is amazing! probably in the top three of the best covers of this song!

Although I am glad to know someone appreciated Kate Bush's "Running Up That Hill" to decide to cover it, once again, they killed it. Not as in KUDOS!, they killed it ... dead. I have adored the original since the day it was released. It is astonishingly beautiful and innocent. When I saw this was a cover, I had high hopes. But, once again, everybody has to take the innocence and simplicity of the original, which was the appeal, then add their tired, over-used, and over-the-top gospel/R&B funk inflection to the vocals like they're auditioning for the last time in their and suffocate Kate Bush's gorgeous song to it's death in their attempts to bring their own version of "new" to something already untouchable. When something isn't broken, don't try to fix it. I'm running away from this.*

Interesting take... didn’t capture Kate’s understanding of the subject matter. Bass was on fire though. Drums, lol what?!?

She missed the point of the song. There's no depth or heart in this version. What a shame to step on such an amazing tune. If anyone wants to hear this song covered WELL check out Meg Myers' cut. She knocks it out of the park with a clear understanding of the meaning and a tremendous vocal.
