Galaxy S24 Ultra 100x Zoom Test: Is it worse than the S23 Ultra?

The Galaxy S24 Ultra features a significant change from its predecessor. The S24 Ultra now boasts a 50MP sensor for the 5x zoom, which delivers stunning detail and clarity, making it an upgrade over the S23 Ultra's 10x zoom with a 10MP sensor. However, when pushing the zoom to 100x, the S24 Ultra doesn't quite match the S23 Ultra's performance due to the lower resolution at extreme zoom levels. Despite this, the 5x zoom is where the S24 Ultra truly shines, providing sharper and more detailed images.

In my opinion, on every camera test, the S24U is not sharper, but its clearer and cleaner, thanks to the bigger resolution and individual sensor pixels.

Also s24U has better zoom quality from 5x to 9.9x compared to s23U 50MP 5x its actually more useful than 10MP 10x optical zoom

When trying to zoom in on something close like say an ant, my 24 ultra picture frame jumps around and wont land on the target, its a real pain in the bum. Personally, i miss my 23 ultra but my old man loves it. I'll skip out on the 25 but i can't wait to upgrade to the 26 ultra and five this 24 ultra to my old man

Of course 5x is better on s24. That's a silly thing to say. It's got an optical 5x zoom while the s23 has an optical 10x zoom.

They should replace the 3x camera with the 50mp and leave the 12mp 10x. That way, you could still take very good pictures at 5x and maintain the zoom performance
