I really want to love it but at the end of the day it’s gatcha. If you get super invested in it will consume your life due to fomo events and trying to pull the characters you want etc.

just started playing today on xbox SO FAR SO GOOD…i however had to make sure the english voiceovers were switched to a different language because Paimons english voice lol was nearly game breaking. I love so far the mix of BOTW and open world JRPG its awesome and very freeing

Genshin has its problems sure, but going into it as a free experience, the open world, combat, story and music are absolutely phenomenal and I highly recommend checking it out just don't buy into the gacha crap unless U know what your doing/want 😅

Even if you play free, its a huge grind. The game is fun, but dont treat it like an actual console game. The only real grind isnt real, and with the way servers work, at anytime the games servers could end and its all for nothing.

As someone who started after 5.0 It really isn't a good time to start Genshin since you'll have missed so many timed events that reveal much of the lore and characters' stories. Meanwhile Honkai: Star Rail and Zenless Zone Zero keep the limited time events. I'd only recommend Genshin if they bring back the old events but it's unlikely since they have ignored that for so long.
