You actually made a really good case for MDF after saying not to. No seams other than the edge. But MDF is so uniform it’s a non issue. RedGard the bottom, epoxy the top. I’ve tried several materialS and MDF is the way to go IMO.

Great job. I've never cut out countertops before, but I decided to pull up the tile ones, and build new ones. They came out perfect. And just got my Laggari countertop kit today. Installing it this weekend.

You guys are awesome, thanks for the video I will be doing this in my kitchen in the UK.i just have one question, should the face frame be the same thickness as the ply, every kitchen I have fitted (pre built carcass) the doors and drawers have a 3 to 4mm gap to allow opening.or is this a silly question.
