I’m a big fan of Valhalla’s delay, it’s a more budget friendly option, but it also has a few modes with ducking. For something a little bit different I’m really enjoying Other Dessert Cites from audio damage, has some unique modes.

Just a friendly suggestion that I would personally like to see an updated solo strings library comparison from you. Maybe even the Cremona Quartet from Native Instruments and Cinematic Studio Solo Strings.

I have had that problem for ages. Was using Valhalla, sound yots and fab filter but none of them did it for various reasons. I found baby audios baby comeback and im hooked. So easy to use and the quality is amazing and that's just the free version.

Would get Valhalla delay over this any day of the week tbh, just way too expensive. I'm using Waves H-delay, still going strong after all those years! Big value for money.

Love watching your videos, and love your studio space with natural light. I have a south facing wall in my living room that has a view into my backyard, huge windows, great view. But alas, my studio is in my windowless basement. Some day!

Boz Digital creates excellent plug-ins! They might not be the absolutely most technical, like Fabfilter, but every plug-in they make has a twist that makes them soooo useful. Transgressor 2 is my favorite transient shaper since they have put a parametric EQ each on the attack and sustain, which opens up for so many possibilites to tweak drums etc. Their gate plug-ins are also incredibly useful!

Sounds beautiful, Guy. The delay I always use is Audio Damage Dubstation 2. I like that I can sync it to exactly the same tempo. I will check out Imperial Delay too though.

I enjoy your videos, I can usually take away something useful and they rarely fail to inspire me in one way or another. Though I can't afford most of the software you present, I do tend to appreciate the price tags. There's generally a whole lot of value in these things. And if I could, I'd buy a single piano for 100 pounds, or an orchestra for 500, because I know it's worth it.
150 pounds for a delay is just ridiculous, though. If I had 150 pounds to spare, I'd rather take a course on thinkspace, or two. There's a lot of free stuff out there, and really good stuff, too. If I spent that kind of money, I'd buy something I cannot get for free.

Depending on your DAW, ducking can be added to any delay from. the outside. In Bitwig, I can take an envelope follower and make that modulate the mix or dry / wet parameters.

Definitely sounds like a very nice delay effect plugin, but have you tried Delay Eternity from Arturia? That one has quickly become my favorite!
