2. SOUNDBITE (English) Sen. Kevin Cramer, (R) North Dakota:
++PARTIALLY COVERED++
Reporter: "What was your recollection of that day? Was it mostly peaceful as he said?"
Cramer: "Well, I didn't listen to Tucker Carlson and I generally don't. But my recollection of the day is that it was not just some rowdy, peaceful protest of Boy Scouts, nor was it, you know, the takedown of democracy that others that others in the on the extreme side want to call it. I think people that participated in it should be held to account. I think people on that lead it should be especially held to account. I think that breaking through glass windows and doors to get into the United States Capitol against the orders of police is a crime. I think particularly when you come into the chambers, when you start opening the members desks, when you stand up in their balcony to somehow put that in the same category as, you know, permitted peaceful protest is just a lie. And I think it's doesn't do any good..."

But when you see police barricades breached, when you see police officers assaulted, all of that, or you had to be in close proximity to it, if you were just a tourist, you should have probably lined up at the visitor center and came in on an orderly basis. I just don't think it's helpful."

10. Window view of supporters of President Donald Trump gathered at the Western front of the U.S. Capitol during the siege
STORYLINE:
Some Republican Senators are disagreeing with a distorted display of the January 6 riot through videos broadcast by Tucker Carlson on his primetime Fox News show.
The conservative commentator is working to bend perceptions of the grueling siege that played out for the world to see into a narrative favorable to Donald Trump.
Some Republicans though appeared uncomfortable with McCarthy's move and the way the footage was being used.
