Great analysis. We have an '04 X50 cab and it is awesome! 450hp and 457 ft-lbs torque puts it at the same power as a current 911 GTS! I think the 996 value is also suffering a bit from its sibling's IMSB issue. I believe the 997 is the last of the Metzger engine so that is pretty cool too. We would have went for the 997, but it was almost $20K more. just be aware of the history of a car you are looking at and watch out for bad mods and dangerous tunes. Ours is stock and after I took care of a couple issues has been great! Best deal in the used Porsche market. Franny

Always good to hear conclusions from those data. Data itself has no meaning, it's the people who analyze those data concludes from those existing facts. Great job!

These videos are fantastic. Nice niche video as opposed to the the litany of features/test drive vids of Porsches, etc.

Wow awesome job! Really appreciate all this info. I find it interesting how people (mainly collectors) predict car values and this seems like the basis of how investments are determined. I still cant believe cars like the NSX and 993 911 have doubled and tripled in value and it's cool to see all the graphs showing the depreciation curve. Keep it up!

Thanks i am in the market to buy a 911 turbo, so i am interested in the 997.2 like 09 10, so i can expect a few more reductions before getting serious. Great piece.

Picked up 2019 991 turbo at 30k below msrp with 2500 miles. Great time to buy any model with the 992 being the flavor of the moment. Good luck, y'all.

would love to see an update to buying a 991 Turbo since this is now almost 3 years old. I'll be wanting to trade up my 2013 S for a Turbo and the info would be invaluable. Loving your channel by the way. You speak in numbers and data, which really appeals to me.

10 years ago a guy I know bought two 997.1 S for the same price which he sold them years later. Back then they had 15k miles, now they have 100k miles but both sold for the same price as he bought them. I will keep mine for longer as I think the 997.1 will all appreciate more in value during coming years.

Thanks for the great straightforward analysis. I am currently the owner of a 997.1TT 6MT and since I have it, manual transmission 997TT cars have gone up in value, at least here in Europe.

I'm looking to switch to a Ferrari 458, but they are holding the value a lot better than the f430 did despite the huge production numbers and I currently cannot afford it. I don't know if its due to the car bubble we are having in the last 3-4 years that is making this cars not have the typical Ferrari depreciation curve, or in the other hand they will not go down any more. What are your thoughts on it?

It would be interesting to do a longitudinal study of each model instead of comparing models from different years at one point in time, i guess that would give a better indicatior on external effects such as economy and interest rates on loans.

Here in Sweden the price for the 997.1 have more or less stayed stagnant the last 2-3 years which i assume is because of high growth stock market and very low interest rates for both housing and car loans. Any kind of bursted bubble or change in interest rates, which is bound to happen some day, will probably affect the prices for the porsche. Don't you think?

Nice videos but I would appreciate a more in depth analysis of the things to check before buying a used one. Thanks anyway and keep doing your videos. Always intereting to watch them 👍
