The IUPAC name of Water is Oxidane and Chemical name Dihydrogen Monoxide

I always wanted to know this.
This is the most misremembered part in chemistry among students in India.
vaastav
Me : Mom, get me some dihydrogen monoxide
Mom : 🗿

finally that 90% knows it love you sir 💖💖
kunalJadhav
Believe mei sir 99% students love you 🥺😫 you are life saver 💗💗

Glad to know I was not among those 90 per cent of students, even before watching this video.

Accully it has many names. It is also an acid and a base because it contains Hydrogen by itself and also Hydroxide. This means it can be called Hydrogen Hydroxide if your using it as a base and if you using it as an acid you would call it Hydroxic Acid.

i once asked this question to my teacher, and she said there is nothing like that. thank you, this question always lurked in my mind.

proud that a teacher like you is a pakistani keep it up sir and thank you for this channel this helps me a lot in studies my all depressions are finished may allah bless you with more and more success

As has been mentioned, the IUPAC name for water is oxidane. It can be named dihydrogen monoxide, or more simply hydrogen oxide. Sometimes it helps my students to name it hydrogen hydroxide, which gives insight into its acid/base behaviour.

dihydrogen monoxide (H20) is water formula

I know, two hydrogen are combined with the atom of oxygen to complete the number electrons in their orbitals (covalent bond)

Dihydrogen monoxide is very important for us
jaswinderkaurjaswinderkaur
Actually we don't consider it as dihydrogen monoxide. It's just Hydrogen Monoxide. For ex: H2S, We tell it as hydrogen sulphide not dihydrogen Sulphide.

Sir on 3:57 Na is not an anion it is a cation as its always lose electron
