Law of Causality: Imagination Objection

The Law of Causality states that whatever begins to exist requires a cause (or, alternatively, no potential can be actualized unless something already actual actualizes it). In this video, I look at David Hume's objection to the Law of Causality.

When I say that I had a "oh my God my brain has reached a new level" moment, I mean it hahaha. So grateful I get to call you my professor!

If we don't see things poping into existence all the time entailing the fact that things cannot come into existence without a cause. then how exactly god exists without a cause? if god can exist then why we don't see this happening all the time? isn't that a contradiction?

Doesn't the fact that you're imagining something necessarily entail it was caused by your own mind? Every time you imagine something coming from nothing, the thing you imagined came from your mind. The Humean objection seems almost self refuting to me.

Perpendicular perturbations of preposterous preponderances of pterodactyls Pratman! Where can it be?

Interesting indeed.

It has some merit imo.
But wouldn’t our conscious or subconscious mind be the _cause_ for us _conceiving_ of the pterodactyl?

Would I have thought of the Pterodactyl had I not been influenced by your command to conceive of it?
Probably not
Can you perhaps explain what the response would be to this?
Nice videos tho.
