We just picked ours up. I didn’t like the open storage in the center under the arm rest but the wife found out by removing the plastic Divider it fit her purse.

i'm hoping to buy one this month because I'm seeing great incentives for them in the US

20-80% is 33 mins compared to 44 mins in the previous version.👍🏻

4:00 our Canadian model has all LEDs. It’s interesting to see how they package the car between the US and Canada. We don’t get the power lift gate even at the highest trim 😢.

In the old Kona you can get to a full stop by holding the left steering wheel paddle so you dont need to use the brake paddle

I was going to the dealership this weekend to purchase the 2024 Kona gas version, but after seeing this fantastic coverage on the electric version, I'm seriously considering this. Thank you for the enlightening video on the Kona Electric!

Picked up a limited 2024 Kona for under MSRP and the federal EV rebate for my wife last week. She loves it so far.

I like the normal buttons and knobs on the Kona. I’d consider the N if it comes in AWD. I’m also waiting for the 2025 I5 mostly for the NACS port, but they are finally advertising some good deals on the Ionic 5 here in the Portland Oregon area, so the 2024 is a little tempting.

You didn’t mention the most important update for us in the northern climes…a heated charge port door. 😅

Thanks for the comparison video. I also happen to have Kona EV which is coming up on lease this year. I have the Ultimate trim but looks like if I'm not mistaken, the torque on the new one is less. The previous gen was 201hp and 295lbtq. Also my range since day one had been between 280-302miles and of course more fluctuation in the winter as I'm also in snow country. Bigger size is huge help especially with a car sear which makes the front passenger seat almost unusable. I have been getting about 4.2kwh with the higest I saw was 5.3kwh which was of course city driving.

Thanks for the review. Great to see the the back seat is actually usable on the new model. The old one was nominal.

Still recommend to others in this price range who live in cold climates the Niro EV over the Kona since Hyundai hates specifically the US for whatever reason and wont let you get a heat pump for improved efficiency. Heck, its not even a North America market problem as Canada has had the heat pump in the Kona EV for years now.

We ordered one in the uk 2 days ago👍
We have a scheme for people with motorbility needs, and if you qualify you can get a variety of ice and ev's for a 3 year " lease"
Depending on the cars list price you might need to pay an initial down payment and then all you pay for is peteol/ diesel or electricity, the scheme covers monthly payments to cover the car/ insurance/ maintenance/ breakdown cover.
We have a kona N line S ev in ultimate red paint for a one off £1500.
They provide a free supplied and fitted wall charger.
20'000 miles a year mileage allowance and after 3 years you hand it back and choose again.

Great review. We have a Hyundai Elentra and are strongly considering an E Kona as our fist electric. Thank you.

Man I can't wait until you get one I am very interested in the upgrades to the home charging to 11kw and also the dcfc I hope you have a home charger large enough to max out the kona that way we can see how long it takes to home charge

The thing that annoyed me with this new Kona was the many beeps when driving just above the speed limit the car thought the road has. This was in Norway.
Else I kinda liked the car yes. I didn’t see the conditioning battery button, but I guess the Norwegian high trim model also had that..
I wonder what the service prices are though. My P45 60K service is about 1500$. That’s insane..
