The first Target Date Fund ETF has been released by Black Rock and it is a GAME CHANGER for investors. iShares LifePath Target Date ETF. You can get the same results as paying for a financial advisor, but now with the lowest expense and highest returns for retirement investing through an ETF and not just a mutual fund. S&P 500 and SCHD are still great, but this target date fund ETF will truly change lives.

Great information! I finally persuaded my 25-year-old son to start his ROTH IRA! (Woo hoo! 🎉) If I am unable to persuade him into utilizing your 3-fund portfolio, this might be a great alternative for him without adding a huge expense ratio! 😊

In my employer-sponsored retirement account, I’m going all S&P 500 until I get closer to retirement and then reallocating it to a Target Date Fund.

Cool your working with Ryan. Been watching his journey for about 2 years. I started in Feb 4th 2021 in brokerage and Roth IRA both focusing on dividend investments. Sitting on 30K in both and almost 2K a year in dividends to reinvest. These are separate from work 401K. My focus is dividend investment income to pay for insurance and taxes on paid off home. Have 9 years to get that working. Fingers crossed.

I am in my 60s and was looking for different avenues to invest, I found my self a investment Advisor, referred by a friend doing good in the stock market. My IA has now traded my savings daily & weekly from quarter a million to almost one million dollars in the last 18 months. If you are looking to diversify its never late. 💯✅

Good video and good information as always. However, a word of caution to new age-based investors - I used an age-based fund from Vanguard for my two oldest children's 529 plan. I had to take money out last year and this year when they turned 18yrs old. With the bond turmoil, my best 5yr rate of return was 3.86% - well under inflation. I'm done with the 'glide path' method personally, my youngest gets whatever the SP500 does until she's 16 - then we'll move it to cash.

I could see these as the perfect set it and forget, as worry free as you can get, like a beginner ETF. Awesome stuff man.

Oh neat. For those that enjoy the simplicity of these funds in their 401k, it may make a good option for their self-directed IRAs. We used something similar for our son's 529 college fund. Investment risk was gradually reduced as his years until entering college got smaller. The lower fees of these ETFs are quite attractive.

I invest 20% per pay period through work. They run our 401k and Roth. 6% match.

How are these different from their older funds: AOK AOM and AOR?

I don't know, I still like the Professor G Targeted Funds LOL...Also, it kind of spoils the fun of investing :)

Looking at that holdings list in the 2055 target date fund I honestly think it’ll underperform just choosing VOO. Lower expense ratio with VOO and not dealing with international exposure which I don’t think is worth it even though people say it’s necessary.

Would love to see a video or a short about if we’re in the downturn you said you thought was coming at the end of the year in pervious videos and what signs lead you to that. Because you seem to be right! 😅

Couple of issues with this. First is Blackrock. I can't invest in anything that eliminates certain segments of the market for "social" reasons, as opposed to investment reasons. Second issue for me is Target Date funds in general. They are great for some people, but me personally, with my situation, they are too conservative. I retired in June, at 62, and wILL TAKE SS at 67, my FRA. At that time, almost 100% of my expenses will be covered by anuities, dividends, SS, and such. My portfolio will not be needed, but Target Dates would be too conservative for that situation.

TDF ETF 👍🏿👍🏿. Taxes were my only reason for only have my TDF in my roth. But this might change the game a lil bit.
