How much money has he made from this simple five minute video with over 1.1m views?? Those likes will ensure that this video remains in future search results. On its own this video is providing more of a passive income than any of his other videos were at the time he posted this.

If you want to make money on YouTube, simply talk about how you make money on YouTube, you will have always have a captive audience.

I make videos because it helps keep memories, a story to tell, it's fun, keep me away from boredom, and allows me to learn some actual skills. I also love it when my subscribers tell me their personal story and how much I have inspired them even though I am a newb youtuber.

Taking 2 to 3 hours to edit video isn't enough to make good money on YouTube.
I make full time income from YouTube and I take 8 hours just doing keyword research and scripting my video even before I shoot. Then shooting takes a few hours, then editing takes at least half a day.

No need to release consistent videos. Just concentrate on quality. YouTube changed this algorithm. It favors consistency far less than what it used to

I disagree with most of what he says. I'm at 40k subs and I've made $7000 from ads in the last 6 months from 3 different videos.
You need to make super quality videos that will get a good amount of consistent views. Not put out another video every 2 days.

YouTube is no longer about consistency. It's about the viewer, the video, and the watch time. I upload a video every month or more. No consistency other than the quality I put out. My niche is Van Life. And i put out tons of information, plus my van is one of the best builds on YouTube. That's another thing, if you aren't making money, you probably don't have a good enough subject to talk about.
