Love your show Kris, Andrew is quite a charma.. enjoying your selection of books. What was the one about "Friends" there seemed to be a trilogy of the story, big books too. I can't find Thank you lovely lady, keep cruising. 🇬🇧🌿⚘️📚📚

I actually had to stop and check after book three "Lie with me", if the translator was "the" Molly Ringwald... yep it is! Impressive!
For what it's worth (not much)... I once knew a Margot and indeed she pronounced it "Mar-Go" so you are correct.
Not sure if you are keen on young adult novels and you've probably already read them... but I really enjoyed Heart Stopper and some other Alice Oseman books.

This is so terrible for my TBR! Luckily Giovanni's Room is already waiting my shelf, so it gets a promotion. I think The Post Office Girl is getting added since it's totally my vibe. I've never read Camus and now I'm intrigued. I love a modern stamp of approval on a classic because sometimes they're put on a pedestal but then no one really tells you why or the greater context obscures the actual merits of the story. And then the classics seem unapproachable. So I like hearing a genuine review rather than the usual insistence that a book is Capital I Important. Can't wait for more reading vlogs!!

Loved these thoughtful reviews; going to get my mitts on a copy of The Post Office Girl immediately! And agree; never heard anyone pronounce “Margot” quite like that…

Thank you for this video, I really enjoyed it! 🥰 Also never heard anybody talking about Zweig and never read anything of his, but added Post-office girl to my TBR, sounds super intriguing 🧐
If you take video recommendations it would be cool to get to know a bit more about your bookish taste, like your fave books of all time video orrrr books that impacted you the most throughout your life 🤩
I am currently reading Midnight’s Children by Rushdie and it’s a bit of work, also hella demanding cause you need to know your world history of the time, but overall I like it so far.
Looking forward to more videos of yours 🥳😍

I'm extremely on board with never having to read, watch or listen to anything about the pandemic ever again. We lived it, that was enough. Some would say that's denial, I call it self-preservation and wanting to move forward. And considering history repeats itself because we never seem to learn, we will likely see another one so for now, in the recovery period, let's just turn away from it all.
