At the back of the camera is a little cap to make the usb port, sd card port etc waterproof. Behind this cap is the microphone also. You can film things without this cap to make the sound better, but then it isn't waterproof anymore.

@hampeowns if your not going deeper than 15 meters, this is a very good cheap solution. For it's price the quality is pretty good, but now, a year later I wanted someting better and bought the Contour ROAM2. So if you want quality, I don't think you should go for the Rollei but spent some extra money on a better camera. If you want cheap, l than this is perfect
