"Accio" doesn't mean "I summon", it's more like "I fetch something". There are closer words for "I summon, I call to myself" like Voco (Call) Provoco (Call forth), Concalo (More literally "To summon") And, as the most obnoxious example, Levicorpus. No, it does not "Levi" your "Corpus". Because "Levi" doesn't mean "to lift". That would be Tollo. Lævis means "Lightweight" or "trivial"... Same goes for Wingardium Leviosa. Those aren't words in Latin.

If that was Hermione, then I am Snape, and Mrs Granger needs to sit the fuck down, -6 points from the Gryffindor.

Alright, SuperCarlinBrothers actually touched upon the whole thing with James's sacrifice vs. Lily's in one of their videos. The distinction is that Voldemort blasted James out of the way on sight, didn't give him the chance to step aside himself, whereas with Lily he repeatedly told her to stand aside, likely because Snape had begged him to spare her. Like, OK, yeah, he doesn't comprehend love, but when who he took to be one of his most loyal followers was begging him for this small favor, it's not surprising that he'd at least try it, but when Lily didn't stand aside, Voldy's all, "welp, can't say I didn't try. AVADA KEDAVRA!" And that's why Lily's sacrifice had the power that it did- she was given the option to stand aside, and she refused. James never had the option. He wouldn't have stood aside if he did, but regardless the decision never once fell to him.

The theory goes that his poor eyesight was not a natural disability, but a magical one in the same way his scar was. When he woke up in kings cross in deathly hallows, the 2 things he was missing was his scar and his glasses specifically which seems to imply that neither was a natural feature. This is important because damage caused by dark magic (werewolf scratches while not transformed, sectumsempra, etc.) is unhealable, which would apply to avada kedavra leaving the wand wave pattern of adava kedavra as a scar on Harry, and by extension, his eyesight.
TL;DR: The wizarding world can most likely heal poor eyesight, but Harry's was curse damage so it couldn't be healed, and he never decided to wear lenses
