Harry being told that "he is a wizard" is somewhat analogous to people being newly "made aware of their MBTI type." Harry gets the shock of his life when he is told that he is "a wizard." Similarly, we might feel that learning our MBTI type is a "shock, " and it can "explain a lot about us." We might think... "this explains everything. If only I had known my MBTI type earlier... then perhaps I would have navigated my life differently." It can change how we see ourselves and move forward in our lives. Similarly, once Harry learns "he is a wizard, " this changes his life forever. Now he is equipped with this useful information, just as we are now equipped with the useful tool of MBTI.

Additionally, Harry is unknowingly taking on a heavy burden when entering the new world he is being brought into. Similarly, we might feel that our MBTI type, or anything personal about us, is a burden. Can we "change" our MBTI type? No, not really, you were "born this way" -- with your particular set of cognitive functions, and it's better to "accept yourself" and work with how you naturally are, so that you can be the most successful that you can be.
