As a student... We skipped everything light and reflection related becaus we didn't have time for it. I want to cry

For those whi don’t know,
A mirror doesn't "know" anything or see what's behind a towel; it simply reflects light. The light that bounces off the object behind the towel, even if partially blocked, can still reach your eye after reflecting off the mirror. In essence, the mirror is just reflecting the light that's reaching it, even if it's at an angle or partially blocked. Your brain interprets this reflected light as an image of the object behind the towel.

Hope this works😊

As a crackhead, I got so many explanations for this one.

It’s so nice from you guys to explain this in comments. I just remembered why I am an art student

As a physics student... This video hurts my eyes

Edit: I know yall that its a joke xd but let me explain to the people who dont know...
This is known as the phenomenon of reflection where a light incidents on a plane and bounces back but the place where the light hit shall show the reflection of the source that made the light...Since this isnt theoretical physics. The amount of reflection in her bathroom are close to infinite (polished surface can reflect too), so blocking a single angle wont stop the image formation.

Only way to stop your reflection is by cutting off the source that produces all the light. No light = No reflection.

As a mirror, I'll skip explanation and say it's magic

For those who isn’t familiar: Makes sense because when you look at it from the side all the light that it emits and bounces back that we can observe comes from the perspective of where we’re looking from

As a physics student here is 1. Reflection at an Angle – The mirror reflects light following the law of reflection: the angle of incidence (incoming light) equals the angle of reflection (outgoing light). If you look at the mirror from an angle, the light bouncing off the object travels to the mirror and then reflects toward your eyes.
2. Virtual Image Perception – Your brain interprets the light as if it’s coming from behind the mirror, forming a virtual image of the object. This creates the illusion that the object is visible even though it isn’t directly in front of the mirror.

This effect is the same reason why you can see things from different angles in a mirror, even if they aren’t directly in front of it. It’s all about how light travels and reflects!

Please like this took 30 minutes.

This is how mirrors work, they reflect the light and this light goes to our eyes and we can see anything in the mirror

I know if nobody want’s to explan……

The mirror doesn’t actually “know” what’s behind it. It simply reflects light.

Here’s how it works: when light hits an object, that object reflects some of the light in all directions. If that reflected light hits a mirror, the mirror bounces it back in a specific, orderly way—following the law of reflection (angle of incidence equals angle of reflection). So, when you stand in front of a mirror, the light from objects behind you (like the room or scenery) can hit the mirror at an angle and bounce into your eyes, making it appear as though those objects are “in” the mirror.

Thank you for reading🎉🎉

Okay so the thing is, for example if you keep the spoon behind the plastic, if you look at the plane mirror perpendicular to it then it won't be visible, But if you change the camera angle and look at it from the side, the light from the uncovered part of the plane mirror reflects off the spoon and creates the image in the plane mirror.

Edit: the light can reflect off of any and every surface, even plastic, that's why it's visible to us, and so the light rays fall even on the back of the plastic plate, and make an image in the plane mirror, which when viewed at from an angle, that same reflection falls on the camera and is visible to us.

As I grade 8 student I don’t know why I have to explain this to an adult. Basically light rays reflect symmetrically and there are a few types of mirrors. That one is a plane mirror and it projects a virtual image behind it. So when a light ray from you bounces off of the mirror, from the side it gives the illusion that it’s behind the mirror. It’s honestly pretty simple.

If you don’t want to read that yap session up there basically light travels from her face and reflects into the camera. This then creates a virtual image which appears to be behind the mirror.
