Peggy Moffitt and Monica Vitti definitely weren't iconic and neither was Cilla Black (who was a second rate British singer even at the time). Twiggy, Diana Rigg, Jane Birkin, Brigitte Bardot, Jane Fonda, Faye Dunaway, Marianne Faithfull, Diana Ross, Janis Joplin, Claudia Cardinale and many others were much better known and way more 'iconic'.
