🔴 Hakko FX951 Clone Soldering Iron- Does it work????

Louis Rossmann favors these type of iron and Dave Jones of EEVBlog has a few things to say as well. I have to try the Hakko iron myself to decide how it works. Time will tell!

Time and use will be the only way I can make a good evaluation of this unit. So far I'm underwhelmed. It works but we will see which iron I favor on the bench when I'm doing some real work... What do you think?

Have you ever used a Metcal station ? I bought one from Ebay 12 years ago for £50 it is awesome never let me down

I agree with you that the clone soldering iron stand is terrible! I noticed on the clones the wire retainer on the soldering stand seems to be in the wrong place. On the authentic FX-951 the wire is positioned and bent very differently. When I did my review of the FX-951 removing the soldering iron from the stand was very easy.
