I feel this is influenced too heavily by the 2013 game. Sure, it gave Lara more character than "Indiana Jones with tits" and gave us a more modern story. However, the film doesn't need to borrow direct scenes (e.g. the waterfall, the plane, the armed thugs, etc.)

If I wanted to see a Tomb Raider adventure, I'd want it to be its own self-contained story while still set in the same universe. Take the Resident Evil CG films--Degeneration, Damnation, and Vendetta. Those three have their own stories while, unlike the live-action films, take place in the same universe.

My Opinion:
-Too much cutting to black.
-"Fate of humanity" speech sounds kinda generic.
-They kept using the guitar riff from Black Betty but never played the full song. Missed opportunity.
