Whilst I agree a little, a large number of applications will rely on Google messaging services (banking apps for example) so these will not work at all, even if you can install them. Whilst I would love a P40 Pro, I really need a lot of these apps, so it's of to a new brand for me.

I cloned Google play over from previous phone and it works no problem, then again I'm in the U. K so licencing may be different.

Technically is does work, however certain apps you have to login in to, it tries to go through google authentication & ends up failing to connect

It seems to be working but in fact, doesn't work. I can't use Netflix bc the phone has no Google Services installed and Netflix need this to work 🤷‍♂️

Sideloading apks is not a new concept.
However, you will not receive updates which will effect functionality.
Also anything that needs security... Like most useful apps, Will not work at all when sifeloaded. So yea you can download them all day, doesn't mean they will work.
Better off buying the new p30 pro.. They just released a new model of it to circumvent the Google ban as all phones that had Google access prior to the ban may continue... It's funny cause Huawei can just keeping making a upgraded p30 pro every year and continue having full google access.

Best camera for just till they release a new android update. All Huawei phones I have in just in a year after new android version is on Huawei cameras are getting worst and worst. For example. Autovocus no longer works properly, saturation, noise etc. I don't recommend Huawei.
