Duran should NOT be on that list, I riot if they trade him

Anybody who even suggests trading Duran should be immediately involuntarily institutionalized. He's 8.6 wins above replacement. That's elite. And he's super cheap. And he plays his ass off. For comparison, the best pitcher in baseball, Skubal, is only 6.4 WAR. Duran is the type of player you build around, NOT trade.

How do we get Soto or Vlad from Toronto?

The starting pitching was actually the strongest part of this team 4th in the American League 3.78 ERA we need and ace one guy to be really good. the pen is a total rebuild…adding a right handed bat that makes contact is a smart move. Can’t see how Grissom and Campbell both get on the field…personally I think Abreu and Mayer get traded . …every time I see anybody mention Duran getting traded I’m going to point out how stupid that would be. He is our best player! How do you think Cora feels about trading Duran?

Count me as a no confidence in John Henry. I don't picture him giving Breslow the okay to let it all hang out ! They gotta prove that to me after standing pat and doing very little to improve the team in 2024. They did a lot of talking but so far I have not seen much. Show me John Henry !!!

I'm glad they sound like they have a plan... I think the quotes about ownership giving him what he needs in response to trading for a guy that might cost some money like a Castillo I feel like the ownership is out on chasing FAs at least the big money ones.
My biggest concern is I've seen it happen to teams where they put such an emphasis on making trades that they have to find a trade to make and they make too many or they make bad ones. I'm very concerned that a new GM with new abilities to act will do exactly that instead of finding trades that make sense the pressure will build and the other team will have all the leverage now that you said you have to get big trades done and we will have to give up more to make them happen.
So yes glad they have a plan but I wish they weren't tipping their pitches so much.

Corbin ... Your skepticism regarding John Henry giving Craig Breslow the green light to sign high price free agents is quite justified ... With the current amount of surplus field position talent on the major and minor league rosters, the trade route primarily to acquire more pitching depth will be the likely and logical path in Breslow getting our Red Sox to a competitive playoff contending level in 2025 ...

Last year Breslow was hired late October and was thrown into it. He knows what it is all about now, he understands his roster and the farm system. He should also understand how to navigate FSG ownership by now.

All this to say: the honeymoon is over… and the expectations of him are higher.

Take Abreu, Duran, Anthony, Mayer, & Campbell off your list...The rest definitely

2:40 GET RID OF THE FARM SYSTEM! Aubreu and Duran are pure gems if they trade them Breslow is an idiot

Starting pitching is atrocious. A couple good guys like Houck, Bello and Crawford, at points. Letting Chris Sale go made sense, but seeing him Shine in Atlanta should make Sox fans hate management

Plan on not spending again and finishing out of the playoffs again. SMFH!!!

Hey Corbin. It does give me some hope. But....its also making me nervous as all hell. First of all let me say I don't think I would send Duran anywhere. My reasoning for this is if you do now who do you replace that spark in the line up with? I honestly in my heart of hearts feel it would cripple the offense from the get go. You could put Anthony out there but he is an unknown at the major league level. I have seen a lot of swing and miss in the games of Rafaela and Abreu. Now I think that can improve with more experience but it sets off some alarms for me. I hope that if we trade for an ace its one without a history of arm issues. We need a solid, healthy pitcher. The bullpen needs a monster addition as well. So far I am not impressed with the trades that have been made. I would feel better Corbin if you and I were engineering those trades to be honest . I hope the off season will bring about some good trades that will truly help the ball club. Its time for Breslow to step up his game trading skill wise. There is a lot riding on this. No room for mistakes or blunders. Now lets win tonight

Whiners about ownership are getting tired. Ever since they bought the team Sox fans create narratives and whine that theyre cheap. They spend to support promising cores, always have. They play the luxury tax smartly, like all the other good teams do. Weird how the tax/cap is never mentioned.

Trade Devers for a lefty starter. Sign O'Neill. Campbell at 3rd, Vaughn at 2nd. Done!

Whoever gets traded it better be a good value trade. On my list is Abreu and Valdez. For pitchers I'd have Wink available. I'm not opposed to Yoshida either but I'd hate to see the Sox pay his salary.

I really don’t want Duran in a Trade and is just because the guys that are coming up need Duran as a example. That’s the attitude we need with the guys coming up, beyond Duran I really don’t care who leaves.
