Finding work so that she can provide her children with food and proper shelter should be her top priority right now. Period.

Lady get a job. I'm sure working at footlocker or McDonald's will go a long way for you

I totally get it....many people don't realize or can comprehend everything you shared with us. It takes courage and determination to do what you are doing. I understand ur message and I hope you get the resources that uve been fighting for...for so long! People can be cruel...not exactly sure why, especially when refusing to stay silent....is NOT an option. Good choice mama, by going public you are not only speaking up for ur babies but ur taking a stand for so many more babies! ✨️ vulnerability should always be protected n respected!! Sending love ❤️

Where is your husband? Don’t you think that is part of the problem if he is not around to protect your family.

Canada has been like this for years. People on disabled are always being pushed back on the list over refugees.
The unfortunate truth is refugees are the first to condonations over everyone on the list.
I'm on ODSP and yes I was homeless, they told me that it would be 6 to 10 because I'm single person. Now I do have an apartment but it takes 75% of my benefits and they are not going to pay the difference.

I hope someone is able to help them out.

It's starting to get cold out. You have children. You can't keep the act up for long.

Where did you get the tent?

She would still get $$ from the federal government every month. Every parent does. And being Indigenous probably helps. But it is probably not enough to rent a house. Which is probably how she can feed them and home school them. I understand this lady's struggle. Sending a child on the spectrum to school is scary. And finding out they aren't getting the support they need? My son is on the spectrum. I really feel for her. It would be so hard as a mother to decide whether you work to provide and watch your autistic son spiral downwards or quit work to help him succeed in life. I sincerely hope that she gets not just a house, but a community of people coming around her to help out.

City News - I find it pretty disgusting that you're allow the unchecked racism and discrimination to proliferate in the comment section. It is not hard to close the comments.

Tell MARY SIMON to take a pay cut and everyone else who is pulling in over $100.000 in tax payer income. In fact how about we just abolish ask the government perks that go along with government careers

Surely, there are suitable empty buildings that could be contributed to a "Single Parents and Children with Disabilities" organizations?! Why is this happening? Are we really do money motivated and oriented?

"I can't gain employment" - no you made a choice to home school your 2 children rather then continue working.
Where is the father in this? He should be paying child support.
Where is her tribal leadership in this? They should be helping her.

Those kids should be taken away from her. This is abuse. They need an actual education with an actual home and an actual mother.
