How do u attack after sephiroth lauches the flares, i tried doing a smash attack or grab while the move was active but i couldnt move

Problem is that you can just wait to see if sephiroth throws the neutral b or not. Since throwing the gigaflare or mega flare has an obvious tell and takes a long time, the opponent can just react to whether you throw it or cancel it. Once you get a feel for the timing it's pretty easy to get out of.

Also, for reflectors, it's much faster to ledge jump and buffer the reflector instead of neutral get-up into reflector, making gigaflare or megaflare reactable. Try it out. If the opponent knows this and has a reflector then throwing gigaflare or mega flare at ledge is basically suicide.
