How to Use Fuel Stabilizer in Ariens Snowblower

Here's a quick video of how to prepare your snowblower if it won't be used for a while. I did have a surging issue with my Ariens and cleaned out the carb. Only had a little old fuel in the tank and added new 93 gas with the Sta-bil. Along with that I bought a 16oz of SeaFoam and added some (about an ounce) of that to the gas which is known to further clean out the carb. Now works like a charm. Thank for the video and tips.

My Ariens is 14 years old and never added any sort of additive. I simply add no more than a half tank of gas as winter draws to a close and if there's any left I add fresh gas and fill it just before the 1st snow. The only problem I've had with the snow thrower are the occasional broken shear pins. I do the same for my mower during the grass growing season. BTW fuel stabilizer is for storage( usually 6 months or more), not at the beginning of the season of use!

Can I give you a few tip regarding Stabil?
1. Mix Stabil with your gas at the gas station. Mixes better.
2. Never mix Stabil with gas that is 30-45 days old. It won’t be effective.
3. Once you open the Stabil bottle, it has a two year shelf life.

Add fuel stabilizers to your gas storage can WHEN YOU BUY THE GAS. Not to existing gas in the fuel tank of the machine.
