I love this. My father, when he was alive Odin carries his soul now, my father built crossbows. I still have one and 5 recurve bows, plus his laminate press.. this would be a handy tool and weapon for defense. Damn.. it's a compound cross mixture

If it’s got cams you can keep it. The beauty and simplicity of recurve Excalibur crossbows is very hard to beat! Been deer hunting for 25 years now, the consistency is crazy. Went to work in Alberta for 7 years, grabbed my bow from storage when I got back, and didn’t adjust one thing! Still shoot’s exactly like the day I bought it. I was surprised when I saw Excalibur micros with cams.

Mine does the same thing, you need to engage the safety before cocking it, plus there’s a 1/4” size block in the back (safety) which Aligns the bolt properly since it’s holding the string down in the same place the bolt should rest at, since it possible to push the bolt back on top of the string instead of in front of it. Just engage the safety before you cock then disengage or it will set the safety by itself leaving you to do extra work
