If you are patient you can find a 1080 Ti for about $600. Sure they would consume more power, but two of them together can do about the same hashrate (96MH/s) and they are still a decent card with strong resale value.

2.1k can buy most of 3090 for 110+MH/s and also good for gaming reselling value if it’s not working for mining. This kind of dedicated mining cards should be much cheaper than same level gaming card because it’s simplified architecture, reducing I/O ports, trush value after mining.

Crazy price for a "scalped 3080 wannabe" that can turn into a piece of brick with no resell value. For that price you can get easily 3x 3060 ti lhr that brings more hashrate with slightly more power.

Same price as I got 4x 3060 v2's for. Except I am getting 140 mh/s at 400w and these things will have resale value after the merge. Seems obvious to avoid the cmp line.
