Will we see a BIG Overwatch 2 announcement at Gamescom?

Gamescom is rapidly approaching—a bittersweet moment. The event is one of the last big consumer events in the industry, and it always comes with a ton of news. But it also means that the summer here in Europe is slowly ending.

And I haven’t even worked up a tan.

Gamescom is being kicked off next Tuesday with a huge live event. Gamescom Opening Night Live. 2 Hours of Geoff Keighley and my fellow Belgian Eefje de Poorter ranting in between a ton of trailers.
Question is. Are we getting something new on Overwatch 2?

can't wait for overwatch 2: scholar of the first watch, a new paid dlc where winston embarks on a quest for redemption after null sector self destructed their entire operation due to faulty wiring, causing overwatch to collapse again. 2 missions, 10 minutes a piece, 30 dollars.

I feel like they'll just show the S12 trailer and promote S12. I don't think we'll see anything huge. Like you said, maybe some more info on the WoW collab. We'll have to wait and see! GREAT VIDEO!!

It'll probably be some corner where they show off Clash and the new Anubis map. Maybe talk about some of the balance adjustments and skins and that's it.

“Overwatch 2” is written with a very small letters so i wouldn’t expect much than maybe reveal of the WoW collab and something else hopefully.

I'm not expected anything. But I could say about that "financial" thing. If you keep prices that high, almost new AAA games, even any new game, OW2 ofc not make any money. They need to keep prices lower so people really can buy things. As far as I know %90 of people not want to pay a new game price on a well, for example weapon skins. Also "Deadlock" and Marvel: Rivals at the corner. They really need to step up on somethings or step down on other things.

Maybe they tease the next Hero we´re getting in Season 14 like they did with Illari (A shilouette) but beside that I´m not expecting much.

Microsoft needs to put more into Overwatch 2, cause Marvel Rivals is going to make a big announcement at gamescon. and i see overwatch 2 losing some players to Marvel Rivals.
