From the following information find out coefficient of regression, lines of regression and estimate the value of y when x = 10 and value of x when y = 10.

Equations of lines of regression
 The Regression line is also called the best line
 The coefficient of regression is the slop of the best line

1. Equation of line of regression of y on x:
y = a + bx; where b = byx and a = y – byx (x). “b” is the slop of the line.

OR (y – y) = byx (x – x)

2. Equation of line of regression of x on y:
x = a + by; where: b = bxy and a = x – bxy (y). “b” is the slop of the line.
OR (x - x) = bxy (y - y)
